Later this month the great and the good of the mobile industry will be gathering in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress. Run by the GSMA, the mobile operator trade body, the event sees the major players in the world of mobile technology gather to demonstrate products, network and show off their latest developments. The event includes the renowned Global Mobile Awards, and Masabi is delighted to have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Mobile for Smart Cities’ category for its JustRide Mobile Ticketing System.

JustRide has been successfully deployed in cities around the world including; Athens, Boston, Las Vegas, Birmingham, New Orleans and London, as well as with New York’s MTA, the busiest commuter rail service in the United States. It comprises award-winning apps for ticket purchase, display and inspection together with back-end infrastructure for secure payments, ticket management, customer service, reporting and real-time analytics.

Missing a train while waiting in line at a ticket vending machine, ticket office, or not having the correct change for the bus, is a problem for people around the world. Masabi’s JustRide and our partnership with Mastercard solves this by turning everyday smartphones into both ticket machine and ticket, allowing people to buy tickets anywhere and at any time and making payments as quick and seamless as possible.
